The Cordell Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that we have already begun preparations for this year's highly anticipated Pumpkin Festival. To ensure your participation, please reach out to the Chamber office as soon as possible to secure your free booth. Additionally, we are thrilled to bring back the fan-favorite bed races this year, so start assembling your team now! If you have any ideas for events or activities to add to the festival, please do not hesitate to contact us. We welcome all suggestions and look forward to another successful year of celebrating the autumn season.

Cordell's Bed Races

The Cordell Bed Races are BACK!! That is right get your teams together, make those fun costumes and get your groupies together because on Oct. 8th we are racing those beds!!

Bed Races are where two teams of 5 race with one of them on the bed to an outhouse. The rider then gets out and runs to the outhouse to put on a nightgown. Then the rider runs back to the bed where the team will race to the finish line to be the first one across.

Your team must be pre registers to be a part of this event. The beds are being provided by Corn Heritage Village. It will be $50 a team (team must have 5 team members with one being the rider and one team leader) and the last day to pre register will be September 26th. Team Leaders must check in at 12:30PM on the east side of the Courthouse before race.

THE RACES START AT 1:30PM!!!

Cordell Pumpkin Festival Car Show

Don't forget to register your old, new, classic or work in progress card for this year's Car Show.

Pre Registration is open now until October 13th for $20 a vehicle or Day of the Show it is $25 a vehicle.

Registration day of is from 7:30AM to 10AM in front of the Community Center on North College across the street from Bank of Western Oklahoma's drive thru.

Show will be from 9AM until 3PM with the awards starting at 1PM.

Classes will included
Cars: Pre-40, 40-59, 60-81, 82-present.
Pickups: Pre 55, 56-72, 73-87, 88-present.
Street Rod, Rat Rod, Motorcycle, Muscle Car64-84, 84 to present.

Trophy and Cash prizes for:
Most Original, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engine, Farthest Away, Best in Show, Plus 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the Burn Out Contest.

The Jack Loftiss Pumpkin Baking Contest

Bring your pumpkin baking items to this year's Pumpkin Baking Contest. Registration begins at 8AM at From Scratch Bakery on the south side of the square. Judging begins at 9AM and the awards will be announced following judging.
