We would like to welcome you to Cordell, Oklahoma and the Cordell Chamber of Commerce website. This little town is in the heart of Washita County in Western Oklahoma. With a population of about 3,000 and a wonderful school district, Cordell is a wonderful place to raise your family.
The Chamber loves to promote and highlight its members. With these awesome members we are able to put on events for the community and surrounding areas. From the Bingo Booth at the Free County Fair to the Annual Pumpkin Festival there is something for everyone.

2019 Character Books
On Dec. 11th, 2019 the board members went to the Cordell Elementary School to give the 1st and 4th graders Character Books. These books were sponsored by local business that teaches kids great lessons in sharing, caring, non bullying, and much more. The Chamber would like to thank the wonderful teachers over at the Cordell Elementary School for helping us give these books to the kids.
Christmas in the Park Recap
On November 30th, 2019 the Cordell Chamber of Commerce hosted the Christmas in the Park. Vendors started to set up at noon on 2nd Street. It was a very windy day and the Chamber made a choice to move some of the vendors under the pavilion. The Cordell High School Cheerleaders was out giving away free hot cocoa to everyone and it was much needed.
Also at noon Code Blue hosted their annual Sidewalk Chalk Contest on the sidewalks by the pavilion. There was some awesome drawings this year!! Winners were (sorry I don't have their last names) Pre K - 3 grade was Aiden, 4th grade - 6th grade was Calliy, 7th grade - 9th grade was Kenadi, 10th grade - 12th grade was Shaylin Mathes and the over all winner was Abigail Carli.
At 3:30 pm the Chamber started their drawings for prizes that the local businesses donated. There was prizes from Cordell TV & Appliance, Marla Ellis CPA, Riggs Nutrition Team TNT, Sunshine Café, AKA Stables, Allen Giblet Insurance, Tractor Supply, Market Street Deli, J & D's Bargains, Bank of Western OK, Evetts Drug, Great Plains Bank, Bank of Cordell, Ace, United, Midwest Motorsports, 152 Vapes, Cordell Christian Home, Kwik N EZE, Mike's Meat, Lindley Equipment, Inc, Lion's Club, Equity Bank, Oklahoma Farm Bureau, Clinic Pharmacy, Subway/ Right Here C Store, Merle Norman (Ann's), First National Bank, Shorty's, C.A.S.P. and Sugar Shane's Kettle Corn. We want to give a BIG thank you to those businesses.
The Christmas Parade started at 5:00 lead by the Cordell Fire department. The big guy himself, Santa Claus came in by horse drawn carriage this year.
Tara Harrison was our photographer. She donated her time and gave everyone free pictures with Santa. There was a line for about an hour with about 100 kiddos looking forward to seeing Santa. High Plains Bank donated all the goodie bags full of candy for Santa to hand out to the kids.
At 6:30 From Scratch Bakery came out and gave out prizes to the kids. There was 20 prizes from $5 to $50. The kids really liked having their own drawing like the adults. Made them feel apart of the day.
When the sun went down the lights came on and the Lion's Club out did themselves again this year. There is tons of beautiful lights in Lee Park this year. And if you couldn't make it to the Christmas in the Park go ahead and head down there anytime between now and Christmas to check out the wonderful display.
2019 was a great year for the Christmas in the Park and we can't wait until next year with big and better ideas to come.
