Cordell Pumpkin Festival

Where: Cordell Historical Town Square

Join us for the 38th annual Cordell Pumpkin Festival, a beloved tradition that promises a day filled with fun, food, and festivities for the whole family! Kicking off the morning is our renowned Pumpkin Pancake breakfast, where fluffy pancakes infused with the essence of autumn await eager taste buds at the 4th & College Church of Christ.

After fueling up, head over to the vibrant hustle and bustle of the festival square, where a myriad of vendors and food trucks await, offering an eclectic array of goods and culinary delights to explore and indulge in.

As the day unfolds, anticipation builds for the highlight of the festival - the Cordell Parade. Find the perfect viewing spot along the parade route and revel in the spectacle of floats, marching bands, and community spirit.

For those with a passion for baking, don't miss the chance to showcase your skills in our baking contest, where delectable treats vie for the title of Pumpkin Festival Champion.

While parents peruse the offerings, children can immerse themselves in the excitement of the Kid Zone, featuring pony rides, an assortment of toys, and bounce houses sure to ignite their imaginations.

Auto enthusiasts will delight in our car show and car audio contest, showcasing the best in automotive craftsmanship and sound engineering. For those seeking thrills, the burnout contest promises adrenaline-pumping action and roaring engines.

Spook the Square

Oct 31st, 2025 | 5 PM to 7 PM | Cordell Square

Welcome to Spook the Square, a spooktacular event where families can embark on a thrilling Halloween adventure right in the heart of our charming town square!
Join us from 5 to 7 PM for an enchanting evening of trick-or-treating as you and your little one's journey door-to-door to the local businesses adorned with festive decorations. Our friendly merchants eagerly await to treat your little ghouls and goblins with delightful candies and goodies, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
But the fun doesn't end there! As the sun sets and the moon rises, gather at the historic Washita Theater at 7 PM for a special Halloween Kids movie screening. Sit back, relax, and immerse yourself in the magic of the silver screen as you enjoy a family-friendly spooky tale that will ignite the Halloween spirit in everyone.
Spook the Square promises an unforgettable evening of laughter, treats, and Halloween thrills for the whole family. So, grab your costumes, gather your loved ones, and join us for an evening of frightful fun that's sure to leave you spellbound!

Christmas in the Park

Dec 4th | 5PM to 7PM

We will have The Great Cordell Christmas Bake Off. categories are Candies, Cookies, Cakes, and Pies. Free to enter. Registration will be in the Washita Theater from 5-6 winners will be announced at 6:30 in front of the theater. 1st place only.
We will have Santa in the theater from 6-7pm and we will have a photographer like we did last year.
We are adding a Home For Christmas Parade. This parade will be open to anyone. We are making it lighted!! So get those lights out and decorate your floats, wagons, go carts, golf carts and more. We are going home for Christmas right here in Cordell.
That bring me to the theme of the event…. Christmas on the Square: A Cozy Vintage Celebration. Think from when you was a kid and how Christmas was. Either it has been 10 years, 40 years or 60 years we are all young at heart and we want to bring that magic alive again!!!
